how to remove back cover fridge of a samsung rb215bssb?

I know nothing about refrigeration but the fridge part wasn't staying cool. I noticed there was a ton of ice build up on the vents so I turned the fridge off to try and get it to melt, but I think the whole vent system is blocked as I can feel no air coming through when on. I tried to remove the back panel and it wont come off for the life of me. The manual says there are only 6 screws to take off. Is there something I am missing? Or is there so much ice that its holding the panel on there? Also how long can I keep the freezer section off lmao.

Freezer Chest questions from new owner

We recently purchased an Insignia brand freezer chest from best buy, mostly due to it being the only brand in my area (model NS-CZ50WH0 to be exact). Hoping it will last at least a few years. This is our first freezer chest, and there are a couple of noises I wanted to ask about:

clicking – This doesn't happen frequently, but it does occur several times throughout the day. lets say once every hour or two. freezer seems to be operating fine and sounds like the clicking is just the condensor?

ping sound – This sounds like a slightly high pitched ping, like a piece of metal being flicked or something. happens less often than the clicking mentioned above, and normal operation otherwise.

So far the freezer is quiet and seems to work normally. We've had it for 2 weeks and I just want to confirm the sound is normal and okay.

Advice on how to get into industrial refrigeration

Hi all,

I am a 24 y/o refrigeration mechanic who has 6 years experience in the HVAC industry. The first 2 years of my apprenticeship was spent on a production line in a factory overhauling 20y/o packaged units for trains and trams. Which consisted of going through the units and replacing and faulty switches sensors fans and replacing the tx valves and scroll compressors and leaky ball valves. I was unhappy in the production environment as i felt i was missing out on a great deal of the trade and loved trade school and the theory and wanted to get out and work on as much equipment as possible. So i managed to get a job with a typical HVAC company who maintained equiment consisting of high wall split systems, ducted splits, water cooled and air cooled hvac chillers and air handlers, some cool rooms and small sandwich display fridges. I Spent another year of my apprenticeship in a car with qualified service/install techs who taught me and showed me the ropes untill the director felt comfortable for me to be in a car in my fourth year to do small maintenances and breakdowns. I really enjoyed my time in the service department learning and fault finding however as a young service technician i did and still do make mistakes, and the company director ran a very tight ship and was very tough on me to the point of making me stay back after hours to rectify mistakes and in some cases pay for parts. He also appeared not to take stress well and tends to take his stress out on his staff. So because of this i decided to resign and i am working back in a workshop on a production line for a company that manufactures energy heat recovery packaged units. Which really has me thinking about where i want my career to head next… i am not suited to a production line/workshop role as i fine it very repetitive and boring.

I would really love to work in industrial refrigeration, With my current experience/work history what do you think is my best course of action to make myself more employable to a company that does industrial refrigeration as i am obviously very underqualified and have little experince in refrigeration and mainly in air-conditioning.

Why does my fridge smell???

Hi all! Im a new homeowner, just moved in two weeks ago. We are noticing a funky smell coming from our fridge. It was empty and clean when we moved in and I did notice the smell a bit but figured it was nothing. Now that we have been here a bit, it’s definitely worse. We’ve done the sniff test on everything we’ve put in the fridge and it’s not any of the items, they were all newly purchased from the store. My husband checked the drip pan and that wasn’t it. We’ve put boxes of baking soda in the fridge and freezer (both smell). They’ve been there for about a week and the smell is still present. Any ideas?

E2 Question.

Hi I'm pretty new to racks, took a call found compressors tripped on high head, fixed high head issue. But there were 2 compressors that stayed in "proof alarm", for like 1 hour, I was trying to figure out what was going on. When I overrided the compressors they would kick on, was pulling amps and everything. But when I would take it off overide it would be in proof alarm, there were no safetys open. What I finally ended up doing is taking off the proof and on the controller and then put it back on, and the issue went away. Can anyone explain what was happening? Much appreciated.
